Chiswell Cottage is set within the village of Fortuneswell, on the isle of Portland in Dorset. You can cross the road and walk right onto Chesil Beach!
From there you can visit The Cove House Bar & Restaurant and also Quiddles Café within minutes.
The house is also really well located for the National Sailing Academy and has hosted many sailing teams in its time. Having two full bathrooms and plenty of space makes for a great group home too.
If you’re looking to explore further afield, you can follow the coastal path and walk the up to Tout Sculpture Park. You can also take the coastal path around the entire island. While it takes about 4 hours, the views are breath-taking during both good and bad weather!
You’re close to takeaways, restaurants, pubs and supermarkets too – so whatever you need during your stay, it’s all there.

Beautiful property in an ideal location. Everything we needed was in walkable distance, shops, pubs, food places, beach and cafes. Philippa”s was a very responsive, we could not ask for a better host. Definitely a 5 ***** rating

The house is well-decorated, comfortable, located in a beautiful place, and contact with the owner was always immediate. I will definitely come back here in the future. I would highly recommend.
