This lovely traditional Portland Stone cottage, Foundry Cottage, is in the heart of Easton.  There’s everything you need nearby, whether your break is for 3 nights, 14 nights or even longer.  Due to its location, it’s a great base for rock-climbers, sailors and families wishing to be near the park and playing areas or are looking to explore.  The breathtaking Church Ope Cove is a 15-20 minute walk from the house and you have great access to the Coastal Path too.

For families, you’re just a few minutes away from a supermarket, pharmacist and other local stores.  Cross the road and hop on the bus services to Weymouth or try the Jurassic Coaster open top bus to tour the Island and the surrounding area (available during the Summer).  We’ll even provide a map to help you get around.

Don’t fancy heading out?  That’s fine, there’s an enclosed courtyard to the rear of the property that gives you a perfect hiding spot.

The house has 3 bedrooms.  As Foundry Cottage is a traditional Portland cottage, it has low ceilings and steep stairs so isn’t suitable for everyone.  Please check the pictures to get a feel for the stairs and whether it works for you or ask us any questions before you book. We have a double bed in the very top floor and a single room and a double room on the floor below.  Downstairs on the ground floor we have the living area.  There is a step up into the kitchen and then a step down – part of the quirkiness of an old-fashioned stone cottage.
